Luise Elsing

Luise Elsing is a self-taught fibre artist who has created crochet works for over 10 years. She has participated and led workshops at several forums including the Crochet Guild of Australia National Conference in Melbourne where her genre ‘Film in Crochet’ was featured, and the Southern Highlands Textile & Fibre Network. For OpenField, Luise will present a new work entitled ‘THEMOON’, a giant 3m x 2m crochet representation of the moon, depicting the moon’s lunar phases in the night sky. The work will be made up of smaller crochet rounds, partly contributed by the local community and displayed outdoors on the Berry Showground oval.
