Akira Kamada
Akira Kamada studied photography and painting in Japan before migrating to Australia. With a background in Zen garden design and landscaping, he studied ceramics and sculpture in Sydney. He was a Clitheroe Foundation Mentorship Recipient 2008. Exhibiting artist at Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi six times since 2006 and Sculpture by the Sea, Cottesloe four times since 2011. Kamada won the Sculpture in The Valley prize in 2023.
OpenField will exhibit a sculptural installation by Kamada in our Main Pavilion exhibition.
